Mera Desh Foundation
is a voluntary organization founded by likeminded professionals
committed to the cause of humanitarian and environmental
concerns. Through a combination of their professional
skills, voluntary service and financial resources they
are engaged in an effort to reach out to the marginal
and downtrodden sections of society. The idea is to
create avenues whereby successful individuals, institutions,
and corporate houses are reached out to and encouraged
to support humanitarian projects through financial assistance
or in kind.
Our
campaigns are focused towards simple acts of kindness,
showing corporate and individuals the opportunities
to give back to society through small steps.
At
Mera Desh emphasis is given to help those sections of
society who are socially marginalized, economically
deprived and traditionally discriminated against. This
movement endeavors to provide to the common man / people
with basic social and economic opportunities for them
to stand on their feet with dignity. We also take up
issues that concern the environment, wildlife and to
which human beings are inextricably linked.
Mera
Desh literally means “My Country”. The sentiment
behind naming this trust, Mera Desh foundation, was
primarily to evoke a sense of patriotism among the members,
friends, volunteers and associates of Mera Desh, in
whatever activities they set out to achieve.
As
responsible global Citizens, we are morally obliged
towards the people of India and the global community,
who do not have equal access to even the most basic
facilities for a dignified life.
For
the youth and women we focus on imparting vocational
skills to enable them to be self-sufficient & self-reliant.
We fight for children’s rights to get a decent
education and have access to basic
health care facilities. For the environment we focus
on issues of environmental degradation, for natural
