 Mera Desh literally means “My Country”. The sentiment behind naming this organization, Mera Desh foundation is to evoke a sense of patriotism among the members, friends, volunteers and associates of Mera Desh, in whatever social-activities they set out to achieve.
As responsible global Citizens, we are morally obliged towards working for the betterment of the people of India and the global community. Some of whom do not have basic access to even the most basic facilities for a dignified life.
Ours is a voluntary organization founded by likeminded professionals committed to the cause of humanitarian and environmental concerns. Through a combination of their professional skills, voluntary service and financial resources they are engaged in an effort to reach out to the marginal and downtrodden sections of society. The idea is to create avenues whereby successful individuals, institutions, and corporate houses are reached out to and are encouraged to support humanitarian projects through financial assistance or in kind. Our campaigns are focused towards simple acts of kindness, showing corporate and individuals the opportunities to give back to society through small steps.
At Mera Desh Foundation emphasis is given to help those sections of society who are socially marginalized, economically deprived and traditionally discriminated against. This movement endeavors to provide the common people with basic social and economic opportunities and for them to stand on their feet with dignity. We also take up issues that concern the environment, wildlife, issues of absolute social relevance.
For the youth and women we focus on imparting vocational skills to enable them to be self-sufficient & self-reliant. We fight for children’s rights to get a decent education and have access to basic health care facilities. For the environment we focus on issues of environmental degradation, conservation of water & natural resources.
We believe in inclusive Development, Progress and Harmony for all irrespective of their color, caste, creed, gender, religion or occupation. Our sentiment is that the people of the world are "ONE" and all should progress together. Every person should get an equal opportunity to prosper and live a happy life.
It is our endeavor to come together as a team on as many occasions as possible for the cause(s) and not only via emails and on the internet.
